Member Participation Expectations
Valley of the Brick is a community built on active participation, collaboration, and a shared passion for LEGO®. To help ensure a vibrant and engaged club experience, members are expected to participate in club activities on a regular basis.
Monthly Meetings
Members are encouraged to attend all monthly club meetings whenever possible. Regular meeting attendance helps members stay informed about upcoming events, club initiatives, and opportunities to collaborate with fellow members.
Annual Participation Requirement
To maintain active membership status, members are expected to participate in a minimum of two (2) official Valley of the Brick events each calendar year. Qualifying events may include, but are not limited to:
- Public exhibitions and displays
- Community outreach events
- Club-sponsored conventions or shows
- Building workshops or demonstrations
- Other official club activities approved by club leadership
Participation may include displaying creations, volunteering, assisting with setup or teardown, staffing club booths, or otherwise contributing to the success of an event.
Maintaining Active Membership
Members who are unable to meet these participation expectations due to personal, family, health, or work-related circumstances are encouraged to communicate with club leadership. The club recognizes that life circumstances change and will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
The goal of these expectations is not to create hardship, but to foster an active, supportive, and engaged community for all members.
